My Story

My name is Andy, and Road To Seminary is the story of a journey I never expected to take.

Over the last eight years, I have survived six heart attacks and seven near-fatal pulmonary embolisms. More than once, I came face to face with the possibility that my life could end far sooner than I ever imagined. Each time I survived, I found myself asking the same question:

Why am I still here?

For a long time, I didn’t have an answer.

Life took me through seasons of uncertainty, financial hardship, and periods where I was living out of a van simply trying to keep moving forward. Like many people, I spent years focused on survival, work, and making it through the next day.

But somewhere along the way, something changed.

The experiences that nearly took my life forced me to examine what truly matters. They pushed me to ask deeper questions about faith, purpose, service, and what God might be calling me to do with the time I have been given.

That search eventually led me to pursue theological education and ministry.

My goal is to attend George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University and prepare for a life of Christian service. I do not claim to have all the answers. In many ways, I am still learning, growing, and discovering where this path leads. Road To Seminary exists to document that journey honestly, including the victories, setbacks, questions, and lessons learned along the way.

This website serves as both a journal and a record of that journey. Through blog posts, updates, and apparel, I hope to share the experience with others who may be searching for purpose, wrestling with faith, or wondering whether it is ever too late to answer a calling.

All profits generated through Road To Seminary are dedicated to funding my seminary education and related educational expenses. Tuition, books, housing, and the practical costs of pursuing theological training are significant, and every purchase helps move that goal forward. By supporting this project, you are helping make that journey possible.

If you’ve found your way here, thank you for being part of the journey.

The road ahead is uncertain, but I am grateful for every step.
